Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading or using Rostyman, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the software. These terms apply to the Rostyman desktop application and the rostyman.com website.

2. License

Rostyman grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application for personal and commercial purposes. You may not redistribute, sell, or sublicense the application. You may not reverse-engineer or decompile the application.

3. Free tier

The free tier of Rostyman is provided as-is, with no guarantee of continued availability. We reserve the right to change the features included in the free tier with reasonable notice. Core local functionality (API testing, collections, environments, scripting) will remain free.

4. Pro and Team tiers

Pro and Team plans are not yet available. When launched, paid plans will be governed by additional subscription terms provided at the time of purchase. Payments will be processed by a third-party provider (Stripe or equivalent).

5. Acceptable use

You may not use Rostyman to:

• Test or attack systems you do not own or have permission to test
• Conduct illegal activities
• Distribute malware or harmful content
• Circumvent security measures of third-party services

Rostyman is a testing tool for developers testing their own systems or systems they have explicit authorization to test.

6. Your data

Your workspace data (collections, environments, request history) is stored locally on your device. You own your data. We do not claim any rights over the content of your collections or workspaces. See our Privacy Policy for details on what minimal data we collect.

7. Disclaimer of warranties

Rostyman is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the application will be error-free, uninterrupted, or fit for any particular purpose. Use the application at your own risk.

8. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Rostyman Team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from the use of the application or inability to use the application.

9. Changes to terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the application after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Material changes will be communicated via the in-app notifications or on this page.
